If becoming a member of Bethany Lutheran Church is something you're interested in, you've come to the right place!

Being a Disciple of Jesus means never living life alone. God has called us into the Body of Christ and we come together as members of Bethany Lutheran Church not only to receive God's gifts and worship Him, but also to support, encourage, and share with one another in our lives together as Christians.

If you want to formally be a part of our fellowship, you are invited to talk with Pastor Mike about how that can happen. Depending on your background, you may join us by transferring your membership to Bethany, becoming an associate member, taking our membership class (called "Life at Bethany"),  getting baptized, or by simply having a conversation with Pastor Mike.

Online New Membership Form

If you need to share with us your personal contact information for membership, you can fill out this form online or request a hard copy from our secretary.

Membership at Bethany Lutheran Church

If you’ve been attending church at Bethany but have not become a member yet, we certainly invite you to make the step to join our congregation formally. Here’s how that can happen:

  • If you are a member in good standing of another Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod Congregation
    • You can request a letter of transfer from your home church to Bethany.
  • If you are a member in good standing of another Lutheran or Christian Church
    • You would need a letter of release from your home church and we ask you to either speak with Pastor Mike or join us in the “Life at Bethany” classes to learn more about the heart of our faith at Bethany.
  • If you are not currently a member of another church
    • We invite you to attend the Life at Bethany class to learn more about the heart of our faith at Bethany.
  • If you are a snowbird/non-permanent Florida resident AND a member of a Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod congregation
    • We invite you to join Bethany as an ASSOCIATE MEMBER by filling out a membership request form (available at the Visitor’s Desk or online here)
    • You will remain a member of your home congregation, but you will also be an associate member of Bethany (given all rights and privileges except official office-holding and voting rights, which remain with your home congregation).

If you have other questions regarding your options, please talk to Pastor Mike or call April in the office for more information!

Life at Bethany Classes

Our "Life at Bethany" (membership/discipleship) classes are formally taught three times a year (in the Fall, in January, and after Easter). But we also have recorded versions of them if you want to watch them. If you or someone you know wants to learn more about attending them, please let us know!
