Bethany Lutheran Church
  • Remember Daylight Savings Time begins this weekend. Don't forget to set your clocks ahead 1 hour before bed Saturday night!

Welcome to Bethany Lutheran Church!

“Six days before the Passover, Jesus arrived at Bethany, where Lazarus lived, whom Jesus had raised from the dead. ┬áHere a dinner was given in Jesus’ honor. ┬áMartha served, while Lazarus was among those reclining at the table with him” (John 12:1-2).

Greetings in the name of Jesus of Nazareth!

Bethany Lutheran Church. A quiet church in Leesburg. Home to born again….compassionate…dinner serving followers of Jesus. Our home away from home. Would you consider making Bethany your home away from home?

We invite you to come and recline with Jesus. Come and sit with His followers. We’ll share our love…our compassion…our food. No dress code. No hard sale. Just quiet Christians who live for Jesus.

We do everything in His honor. We listen to Him. We’ll listen to you. We love Him. We love you. He inspires us to care. We’ll care for you.

Jesus went to Bethany for peace…quiet…fellowship…and good food. Are you looking for a Bethany? Here it is…Bethany Lutheran Church!

The temple of His body

"Destroy this temple," Jesus challenged, "and in three days I will raise it up" (John 2:19). The Jewish leaders were astounded and confused. What could He mean? The temple had been forty-six years in the building (v. 20)! Jesus wasn't speaking about the temple begun by Herod the Great, but the temple who was born in the days of Herod, the temple of His own body, where God pitched the tent of His glory among us.
