What We Believe

We build our lives on Christ.  We believe Jesus Christ is God, Man and Savior.  Jesus died for us and every person in the world.  He rose from the dead and lives eternally.  He calls all to faith in Himself, as Lord and Savior.

Lutherans are Christians, sharing common beliefs with many Christians throughout the world:

God is three persons in one: God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

The Bible is God’s inerrant and infallible word, written under divine inspiration by human writers.

Sin exists in every person.  It is the cause of the bad things people do to each other and to themselves.

Everyone will have existence after death – either in heaven or hell – forever.

God has a plan to end the world, when He will judge everyone – both living and dead.

As Jesus said, “Blessed are they who died in the Lord, for they shall see God, and live in heaven forever.”

Lutherans live with a sure hope of eternal life because of Jesus Christ.  We know we are not perfect. We stumble and fall in our daily walk with God.  We also know that our forgiveness has been won and paid for by Jesus Christ.  When we repent and seek forgiveness, God forgives us because of Jesus.

Jesus said:  “Because I live, you shall live forever.  I’ll not leave you.”
